The S7-200 PLC is a small programmable logic controller from Siemens, with a modular structure and expansion modules. These modules are used for many different programming applications. Specification of PLC S7-200

The S7-200 belongs to the small group of PLCs, managing a relatively small number of I/Os.

+ There are from 6 digital inputs/4 outputs (CPU221) to 24 digital inputs/16 outputs (CPU226). Digital I/Os can be expanded with expansion modules

+ Input type IEC 1131-2 or SIMATIC. Input using 24VDC voltage level, suitable for sensors

+ There are 2 types of output: Relay and Line level Transistor

+ Built-in Profibus port or using an expansion module, allows to join the Profibus network as a smart slave.

+ There is an RS485 serial communication port with a 9-pin connector. The baud rate for PPI type programmers is 9600 bauds, in free mode is 300 – 38,400 bauds.

+ The instruction set has enough logic bit instructions, comparers, counters, shift/rotate registers, timer allowing easy programming of Logic controls.

+ Programming languages: LAD, STL, FBD.
