Equipped with smart features such as automatic Macros creation, Cross-Reference (cross-linking), automatic numbering…, the software helps increase design speed. EPLAN Electric P8 communicates with many other popular software such as AutoCad, pdf, MS Offices,… The software also supports disassembling project materials (cables, loads, motors, protective equipment…). Prepare for Installation:
We need to turn off Windows Defender Firewall and Virus & Threat protection & Internet (LAN + WIFI)
+ To turn off Windows Defender Firewall Go to Windows search and type Firewall to display Windows Defender Firewall and select
Then the screen displays and continues to select “Change notification settings”
Then the screen displays continue to select “Turn off Windows….”
+ To turn off the Virus & Threat protection Wall, go to the Windows search box and type Virus to display Virus & Threat protection and select it
Then the screen displays and continues to select “Manage settings”
Then the screen displays continue to select OFF all the “red positions”. Continue to click on the “green position”.

Instructions for Installing EPLAN Electric P8
+ Step 1: Setup EPLAN Electric software until completed. (Password Software: plctop.com)
+ Step 2: Active Software
- Copy hosts file in path: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
+ Step 3:
- Paste into the “EPLAN_Active” folder.
- Double click on the hosts file, select Notepad, click OK to open it.
+ Step 4: Copy these two lines to the position as shown in the image.
- 0.0.0.0 eplan.prod.sentinelcloud.com
- 0.0.0.0 licensingservice.epulse.cloud
+ Step 5: Save the hosts file and copy it back to the path C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
select “Replace the file in the destination” to continue
+ Step 6: Copy file vcruntime140.dlll and Paste folow path:
e.g. C:\Program Files\EPLAN\Platform\2.9.3\Bin
e.g. C:\Program Files\EPLAN\Platform\2.9.4\Bin
+ Step 7: Run the EPlanKeygen.exe file in the EPAN_Active folder and follow the procedure below.
+ Step 8: After clicking Create, save the activation key in the folder according to the path
- C:\Users\Public\EPLAN\Common
+ Step 9: Open the EPlan software and follow the procedure below.
